Demantra Consultant – Lewisville, TX (Remote)

Our client is a premier provider of targeted specialized insurance products in North America and selected other markets.  They are looking for a contract Demantra (planning system) Consultant to work out of their Lewisville, TX location.  The manager sits in the Lewisville office but the position is remote and can be filled anywhere. Estimated length of this will be 12 months with the potential to extend.

Description:

The position is responsible for the application management of our client’s planning system (Demantra), and managing the system process and controls, as well as the coordination of the Insurance Planning process. This position provides expertise for delivery of services by providing technology, best practices, and methodology guidance. The individual will work with other teams to influence the desired outcome.

  • Additionally, this individual will document controls for external and internal inputs that drive the planning applications to maintain system integrity. The candidate will be responsible for driving system efficiency in order to meet organizational planning objectives.
  • Lead creation of demand and supply forecasts/plans at various levels over a 6 – 12 month time period while strictly adhering to the monthly demand planning deliverables
  • Review historical shipment trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, and assist with the development of statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results
  • Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system/tool
  • Provide input to the Supply Planning Organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
  • Act as the SME for Demantra planning, reporting and application Management

Experience:

  • Must have 5+ years of relevant experience in VCP modules – ASCP, Demantra modules
  • At least 1-2 full cycle Implementation of ASCP & Demantra modules
  • Must have support experience in ASCP & Demantra modules
  • Should be familiar with SQL and PL/SQL knowledge in VCP modules
  • Understands data flows between Oracle EBS, VCP and Legacy collections modules
  • Should have experience in troubleshooting/root cause analysis and resolutions of problems
  • Experience in addressing user requests in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Work effectively with business, vendor/partner's resources, and various IT teams
  • Raise Service Requests with Oracle whenever needed and keep them up to date
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibility for work of others:

  • Assists Sr. Management in technical consulting and expertise as needed

Other Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience in at least one of the following areas:
  • MIS
  • Computer Science
  • Software Development
  • Application implementation/Systems Engineering
  • Supply Chain Planning
  • Business Management or Finance
  • 3 years leadership experience in leading technical teams and managing resources
  • Position requires the ability to consistently work as needed to meet business deliverables
  • This position may require 20% travel to various business locations.
  • The incumbent must perform duties under deadline pressure in a fast-paced, high volume, multi-office work environment. In addition, the ability to prioritize, plan, deal with difficult situations and effectively communicate orally and in written form is essential to the success of this position.

Requirements:

  • Post-graduate work in computer science/MIS or Business Management
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, influential, and negotiation skills to facilitate project collaboration and to work through and with others
  • A strong knowledge of project management best practice processes and techniques, and comprehensive insight into concepts, tools and processes used for estimating, tracking, managing, and reporting work
  • Full awareness of defined development and/or systems architecture standards, and a thorough comprehension of quality assurance and testing procedures, processes, and techniques.
  • Superior planning & execution skills with the ability to prioritize on both short term and long-term basis
