Our client is a premier provider of targeted specialized insurance products in North America and selected other markets.  They are looking for a Senior Data Privacy Analyst to work for their Atlanta, GA office.  This is a 1 year contract position, temp-to-perm is possible depending on candidate’s performance and skill set.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of privacy program, including the drafting of the governance policies and procedures
  • Identify, track, and summarize applicable privacy and data security laws, in the US and internationally
  • Monitor industry trends to ensure company’s continued compliance
  • Assist with data privacy impact assessments and ongoing compliance monitoring activities
  • Facilitate and promote activities to foster privacy awareness within the organization, including the development of the privacy training, FAQs, job aids and creative media
  • Have an understanding of the privacy practices within the organization in order to identify potential privacy risks and provide realistic solutions and preventative measures
  • Track, investigate, and assist in responding to privacy/security incidents and complaints in a manner that accurately documents the incident and the subsequent remediation
  • Perform project management tasks and tracking deliverables, including the drafting and maintaining of project plan documents
  • Assist in responding to inquiries and audits from outside parties, including regulators, clients, and customers
  • Coordinates, defines, designs, and implements solutions by gathering information from existing systems
  • Continually monitors systems, reviews documents, and liaises with other team members to maintain efforts requiring privacy engagement and controls across organization
  • Work on privacy related special projects as assigned

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1 year of experience in at least one of the following:
    • Project management
    • Privacy or privacy laws
    • Information security
    • Legal

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paralegal or Law Degree
  • Background in privacy or information security
  • CIPP Certified or willingness to become Certified International Privacy Professional (CIPP)
  • Knowledge of basic IT security
  • Basic knowledge of privacy laws

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Paralegal or Law Degree a plus
  • CIPP Certified or willingness to become Certified International Privacy Professional (CIPP)
