Our client is a global multi-billion-dollar Consumer Packaged Goods company, based in Broomfield, CO.  They are seeking a . Materials/Procurement Assistant Finance Manager in their Broomfield, CO office.  Estimated length of assignment is 6 months.

 

Position Description:

The Finance team works with teams across the company to ensure they continue to grow. By joining the Finance team, you will anticipate and evaluate the financial impact of decisions and find the right way forward.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead reformulation project savings reporting during close & forecast, including variance analysis
  • Develop cost models to quantify savings from reformulation projects, working closely with Project Managers and Procurement
  • Serve as finance lead for new material set up in Orsoft process
  • Support the annual budget process through material set up, volume reconciliations, bill of material & price validations, reporting, and presentations to leadership
  • Create a forecasting tool and process for rebates
  • Develop expertise in various reporting systems, including Tagetik, SAP & Microstrategy
  • Perform reconciliations between different systems of reporting and ensure data accuracy
  • Provide financial analysis on an ad hoc basis for Procurement team
  • Continuously work to streamline and automate processes

 

Professional Experience/Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance or accounting
  • CPG experience highly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel required
  • Experience with SAP
  • Strong financial modeling skills required
  • Understanding of procurement processes a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliverables in a cross-functional matrix organization
