Brand Manager - Remote

Our client is a global multi-billion-dollar Consumer Packaged Goods company, based in Westchester County, New York.  They are seeking a Brand Manager to work on one of their private label brands.  This is a 100% remote role, but whomever is hired must be able to work MST hours.  The length of the assignment is expected to last about 6 months with the possibility of being extended.  Samples of work or links to portfolio must be included with all submittals.

Our client is seeking a strategic marketer and leader, who has the ability to quickly adapt to new environments and teams, who has the passion to build a brand with a positive impact on the world, who has the persistence to bring new ideas to reality and combines all of this with solid business acumen and P&L management. As the brand lead, you will need to inspire and rally the internal sales and marketing teams to continue to nurture and grow the brand with purpose first and set the brand up for future success in a national launch in 2023.

Objectives of the role:

The Brand Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Lead day-to-day management of the brand and 2022 marketing plans.  Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead relationship with internal & agency teams to develop and produce key touchpoints of the established campaign, ready to launch in Q1 ’22, including social, PR and “surprise and delight” elements. Ensure brand tone of voice is implemented flawlessly across all partners and all channels 
  • Partner closely with e-commerce and Natural teams to expand distribution & reach of existing items and develop future growth initiatives to drive incremental reach
  • Partner with sustainability team to develop clear roadmap that supports the brand purpose, including ingredient sourcing, partnership and beyond
  • Manage existing cross-functional projects within 2H ’22 innovation pipeline and develop perspective on longer term (‘23+) pipeline for the brand
  • Develop 360 support plan for H2 innovation, creatively leveraging media, trade, consumer. and shopper marketing dollars to maximize trial and awareness at launch
  • Manage business performance and brand P&L, partnering with trade and demand planning partners to input into monthly GPS cycle 
  • This role requires strong leadership skills to motivate & inspire a cross functional team, agency partners and to create a high performing team. Targeted Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, MBA strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 6+ years Brand/Product/Innovation and P&L management experience
  • You think like a business owner…someone who can take initiative and get things done while having fun in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Someone who has a passion for building brands and proven track-record of breakthrough consumer advertising and activation. Specific experience in e-commerce and Natural Channel strongly preferred.
  • Action-oriented with the ability to think and react quickly to changing circumstances
  • Possess the project management skills needed to lead, manage, and motivate cross-functional teams to accomplish brand goals, objectives, and key initiatives
  • Experience working with syndicated data sources (IRI/Nielsen) to make informed decisions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of consumer research and analysis
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
