Our client is a premier provider of targeted specialized insurance products in North America and selected other markets.  They are looking for a contract DEI Program Manager to work in their Atlanta, GA office.  Estimated length of this assignment is 6 months with the potential to be moved to a temp-to-perm opportunity.  This position will be working from home and accepting remote candidates.


Description:

The DEI Program Manager Role will be responsible for coordinating and helping Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team organize their planning efforts for DEI as well as engaging with efforts to ensure realization. This role will ensure baseline and ongoing tracking to measure results. Reporting to Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the DEI Program Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects and programs for key strategic initiatives within company through close partnership with stakeholders

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage end-to-end implementation, standardization, scalability, flexibility, and alignment of company’s DEI programs and initiatives across the company
  • Drive excellence in execution against the DEI strategy by incorporating best practices and industry trends into organizational programs and initiatives
  • Identify, create, and implement additional innovative DEI solutions using business acumen, research, and industry insights to supplement current or planned programming and initiatives
  • Coordinate and track DEI programs and initiatives happening across the company for increased visibility, participation, and engagement
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on the progress, effectiveness and adoption of DEI programs and initiatives as well as their impact across the business using both quantitative and qualitative metrics
  • Partner with others across the organization in support of the operational plan, including but not limited to Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Marketing, Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility, etc.
  • Support the development, launch, and growth of the various Employee Resource Groups while ensuring operational efficiency, coordination, and overall strategic alignment
  • Provide guidance and input into the Global DEI calendar, including overseeing the annual planning and coordination of enterprise DEI celebrations/observations  

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Liberal Arts, or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years as a project or program manager, with preferred experience in an HR and/or DEI program management capacity
  • Experience establishing and leading large global programs and initiatives from end-to-end with proven organizational impact and success while scaling for growth
  • Experience with designing data-driven program strategies and communicating with data to drive change
  • A passion or interest in building an inclusive and diverse environment where people can be their authentic selves and share their own diverse backgrounds, experiences, perspectives and ideas
  • Ability to demonstrate awareness and understanding of the business case for DEI
  • Ability to coach colleagues in DEI across multiple levels within the organization
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and change direction as needed in a fast-moving environment
  • Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Proficiency in working in a multi-cultural, global environment
  • Self-starter with passion, energy, and enthusiasm for making change in a large organization
